Hi, my name is Dave & I have Stage IV (metastatic) colorectal cancer. I had been teaching in Japan (though my passion is music - playing it and making it!) when I was diagnosed (February 2010) with a large malignant tumour at the last bend of my colon, 1 month later 3 tumours in the liver, plus 5 months ago 30 or so small but growing tumours in the lungs. According to stats from the NHS that diagnosis of Stage IV colorectal cancer gives me just a 5% chance of survival beyond 5 years. Well, not me! As far as I am concerned I am going to be one to buck the trend completely & live a long and full life, watching my children if I am so blessed, then hopefully some grandchildren too! But I need your help for this next stage of my recovery.....
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
I really hope you can help me in any way at all. Donations will go to help with the costs of my treatment. Any surplus will be used to help others in need of similar support.
Thanks so much!!!
Dave
