Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page. Im a 44 year old obese man thats decided to walk 53km at high altitude in the andes to raise money for this wonderful hospital. My Son Zachary has spent most of his 9 years of life preparing for or having more treatment at the Sheffield Children's Hospital, at last count he is waiting for his 20th operation. My son has a wide range of physical and mental issues stemming from Hydrocephalus which permanently damaged my sons body and brain during his 9 months in the womb. He has been treated with the upmost professionalism and loving care since he was 5 days old and undergoing his first brain surgery. I'm under no illusion that without the skill and dedication of everyone at the hospital my sons path would be a lot different today. Our good family friend Tracey and her beautiful daughter Lucy have endured the hardest of battles with Brain cancer and I will walk for her also. Its time for me to step up, change my life habits, lose roughly 40lb, get fit and challenge myself like never before and raise vital funds for the charity so that future generations of children recieve the loving care Zac has. I hope you will support me on this journey I've set myself and thank you. EDIT! On the 14th may I begin the 96 mile West Highland Way as a further fund raising event
