On Sunday the 23rd March i am riding the 100mile Cheshire Cat cyclosportive in honour of my good friend Deano who passed away recenty. I have chosen to do this for him & his family as Dean took part in many sportives in his younger days and and i know he will be with me every mile of the way.

Just as he was in the 112mile etape du dales sportive 8 years ago when i punctured and was ready for throwing the towel in but Dean was having none of it and made sure we finished that day in horrendous weather conditions.

That was classic Deano that day, his never say die attitude and infectious enthusiasm for everything he did shining through far brighter than the grey murky skys that were dumping a deluge on us......'The Legendary Deano'
