Dave Skinner must be mad, he's running the bleedin' London Marathon!

David Skinner is raising money for NSPCC
Virgin London Marathon 2010 · 25 April 2010 ·
Hey,Thanks for logging on to my JustGiving page.Yes, I must be mad as I've agreed to run the 2010 Virgin London marathon for the NSPCC. In March 2009 I ran my first half marathon and a lot of you kindly gave to my charity of choice, Childline. So much so that the £400 that I'd hoped to raise was far exceeded by everyone's generosity to the tune of £990, thanks for that guys, much Skinner love.I figured that if you were willing to do that for a half marathon that maybe if I went the whole hog you might dig deeper, or if you didn't donate last time that if I doubled my effort that you might think more about it and get your wallet/purse out.Childline is now a part of the NSPCC so that's why I'm running for this charity. As Whitney said (in the old days when she wasn't off her tree) children are our future and I'm running because I think that sometimes some of them need some back-up and the NSPCC and Childline do an incredible job of providing that back up and I personally could've done with a bit of Childline when I was a kid.So, enough of my ranting, if I can train through the wind and the rain that is the great British winter then the least you lot can do is get your credit card out and bung some money this way and help me reach my goal of £2,000.Here come de science:- "Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity".Anyway, a big thank you from me to you for visiting and now you're here just take two minutes of your time to donate and you'll get one of those nice automated emails from me thanking you for bunging a few quid this way.I'll let you know how I do.CheersDave
