Story
Friends, friends of friends, and others.
I have just signed up for the opportunity to cycle part one of the stages of the Tour of Britain. The stage in question is Stoke-on-Trent, and the distance is a whopping 100 miles... and I've only got 6 weeks to train for it, the ride being on 1st September 2013.
Having not ridden a bike anywhere near that distance for some time, I thought it would be worthwhile challenging myself and in the process, raise some cash for a good cause.
Having recently lost my father-in-law to cancer, I have chosen to support Cancer Research UK, and hope that you will help me in my quest.
I know there have been a lot of charity events recently, and each of us has only so much to go around, but I'm hoping you can spare just a little bit more.
Thanks in advance,
Dave
