Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Homelessness has increased massively in the last ten years. The sharp end of this, rough sleeping has also increased. On any one night somewhere around 25 people can be found sleeping rough in Hull. Not all need to be on the streets, some have beds elsewhere, but all have a wide range of problems they face. There are a range of statutory agencies and a number of local charities which are seeking to end rough sleeping; one of these is Emmaus Hull. They offer an outreach service, speaking to rough sleepers every night, and also an amazing hostel in Lockwood Street. this is me doing a little bit to try to help them.
some of you may recall i signed up for this last year at the KCOM, but I was unable to attend due to the very inconsiderate and untimely passing of my father- he never knew how to keep to time. Well instead of a night at the KCOM I did complete the challenge at swinsty reservoir just before new year- and had a most unusual night- more of that over a pint sometime. Hopefully this year i will get to where I am meant to be and when. Please support this campaign.
