Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  We have decided to ask for donations to Dementia UK in memory of Mum in lieu of flowers because the charity provides a much needed service to those affected by dementia. 

They provided invaluable support to us, firstly through their leaflets which helped us to understand and support Mum while she had to live with dementia and secondly, during this last year with the Covid restrictions, when we were unable to visit or take Mum out as we normally would have, we had free access to the Admiral Nurses who, via their support line provided us with their knowledge and understanding to help us communicate with Mum in the most appropriate ways. These ideas kept the family members firmly in Mum’s mind and happily she recognised us all right up until the end.
