This is my page for you to help me in raising money for a good cause. All the money raised will be given to St. Lukes Hospice who do a great job in looking after severely ill people. My dad has Lukemia and has had for the past 2 years now, he's gone from 14st down to 9st. Also a life long friend of mine Gerry Chandler has Bowel Cancer. Gerry taught me to fish right from a young age and i have now become a very successful angler, and had many articles published in many magazines. When you know people so ill you get a feeling of helplessness, so if running this marathon can help even the smallest bit then it's the least i can do, given what these men have done for me. This will be my 4th marathon but I've not run one for a long time. At the start training was going well, then I ripped my calf muscle. This caused me to rest for 6 weeks whilst having sports therapy each week. I have now started running again, although stuffing my face with mince pies over Christmas hasn't helped me. I know I've got a lot of good friends who support me so if anyone can sponsor me even a small amount such as £5 I would be extremely grateful. (No mark not that grateful!) :)
