Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
When I stood for the role of Vice President of 41 Club, I gave a lot of thought to the values our club holds dear; friendship, fellowship, being ready to support good causes and how we encourage the development and activities of Round Table.
The 4 clubs; Round Table, Ladies Circle, Tangent and 41 Club are organisations that support and encourage their members, through the good times, and the not so good ones.
However, many young people don’t have the advantages that we enjoy, and in choosing a charity to support, I wanted to find one that reached out to help them aspire to a brighter future.
The Prince’s Trust is a national charity that gives young people the chance to succeed in many ways. It offers practical support to help them achieve in education, get a decent job, and to have the belief in themselves. The Trust aims to give young people, who might not have had the easiest start in life, a chance to achieve their potential and this was the motivation for the Prince of Wales when he established the charity back in 1976.
Since 1976, The Prince’s Trust has inspired almost one million young lives and during the last year alone, The Trust has enabled some 60,000 young people – from across the UK – to believe in themselves and strive to achieve a brighter future.
This is the 41st year of The Trust and so it is fitting that the energy, drive and magic of 41 Club is encouraged to effect change in young peoples’ lives by contributing vital support through fundraising for The Trust, or by volunteering to share your life and business expertise as volunteers and mentors.
Your support means so much and I hope that you will reach out to some of the most vulnerable and marginalised young people; offering them the chance of success and be part of the vision, to ‘inspire young lives’.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
DAVE CAMPBELL
41 CLUB NATIONAL PRESIDENT 2017-18
