Story
It is perhaps a family trait to not do things by halves: in February my Dad was diagnosed with not one but two cancers, both myeloma and oesophageal cancer. Even in the short time since his diagnosis, he has received amazing care and treatment from a number of different hospitals, but he feels particularly indebted to the O'Connor haematology unit in Shrewsbury. When I said I wanted to fundraise for him, this is the cause he instantly said he wanted to support. Through all my shambles my Dad has been a huge support, so I am keen to show my support for him now in any way I can.
So in support of my Dad while he is going through this tough time, I am cycling a total of more than 2300 miles this summer on three separate trips with 3 different friends....
TRIP 1: With my dear friend Lucy, we are cycling the ancient pilgrimage route in Northern Spain called the El Camino de Santiago->500 miles.
TRIP 2: with ma boi Rob cycling the length of the river Rhine from source to sea...from an Alp in Switzerland to Amsterdam->800 miles.
TRIP 3: with cycle supremos Christ Damo and Robin cycling from Santander in Spain to Tangier, basically the perimeter of Spain and Portugal and across to Africa ->1000 miles.
For all of it we'll be carrying our camping gear and the vast weight of all our hopes and dreams, so please consider donating.
