I'm not going to try and claim that I have any peculiar affinity to this particular charity to try and get you to contribute because that just wouldn't be right... This is my first run of this nature and I felt it would be good to support a charity along the way. I read through the charity affiliates for this event and felt that it was a worthy cause - as all the others also are - and one of some local significance with a local base. So there it is... 

Those that know me will know that I've seen some very real benefit from the running over the last few months. Now I'd like to think that I can help do some good through it for others, too.
