Story
Thank you to everyone for your donations and support. I finished the race in 5th place with a time of 3hours 55mins! Most importantly we raised £327 for Anthony Nolan:-)
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As some of you may already know, I ran an Ultra Marathon (50km) last year to raise money for Anthony Nolan charity. This year I plan to push my boundaries further by attempting my biggest running challenge yet... the Hammarby Alpin Marathon. http://www.somnlos24h.se/ham/
Whilst the distance is a mere 42 800m (a marathon is 42195m), this run involves climbing 1955m. Basically, I'm going to try and run 23 times up and down a ski hill in Stockholm. There is a max of 50 competitors for this event.
Last time I ran for Anthony Nolan, they had helped my friend Andrew (Buzz) Buchanan find a marrow donor to treat his leukemia. After the operation, he was able to come to my wedding in Sweden and be a big part in the best day of my life. Sadly Buzz has passed away, and I want to do this challenge in his memory and to support Anthony Nolan charity in continuing to help people fight leukemia.
So please dig deep and give something back... I know that I will be!
