We campaign, support and fund research to stop people dying of bowel cancer

Story

Our team is divided into family and friends, we are trying to raise money for the second biggest cancer killer, Bowel Cancer. Darrens family suffer from a disease called Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP), this is an inherited disorder characterized by cancer of the large intestine and rectum. People with the classic type of FAP may begin to develop multiple growths in the colon, as early as their teenage years. Recently we lost my friend at the age of just 40, leaving behind a fiance and a daughter aged 11. Just before he passed away, we found out his daughter also carries the gene. Along with his family, we would like to raise awareness and funds towards research into FAP, through the charity Bowel Cancer UK, so Darrens daughter, along with other families, who are also suffering from the disease, have the best chance of survival in the future. Our first venture, is the Yorkshire 3 peak challenge. This will take place on the 16th July 2022. Please show your support by donating what you can to this amazing charity. #TeamDaz
