Story
I’m doing something potentially stupid and putting my body through hell in aid of the 2018 London Marathon. I’ll be running 26.2 miles on the day (don’t forget the 0.2), and many more miles between now and then in preparation. However, hopefully by doing this I can raise some much needed money for a good cause in the process.
All money I manage to raise will go to the charity Brake, who provide incredible support to the victims and families of those injured or bereaved in road accidents.
I would like to give something back to this charity as my family have benefited from their efforts in the past. Any donations to this cause will be gratefully received and very much appreciated, and will go a long way to helping me over the finish line on April 22nd.
I won’t be running with a fridge on my back, or in a mankini, but there’s every chance I might have to do a Paula Radcliffe so that’s got to be worth a pound at least!
Brake is a national charity working to prevent road death and injury and support those bereaved and injured in road crashes. There are 5 people die on our roads every day and hundreds more serious injured. Visit www.brake.org.uk to find out more about our life-saving work.
