Story
I don’t quite know how it happened, but I have signed up to walk on coals at 1200 Fahrenheit for Teesside Hospice!
I would be extremely grateful for anything you may be able to donate to help me feel brave enough to face the flames! You may be as shocked as me to find out that Teesside Hospice, our area’s main provider of end of life care, costs almost £6000 to run each day! This is AFTER grants and some NHS funding.
The Hospice staff work 24 hours a day to provide care to their 10 inpatient unit bays. As well as this, they offer adult and child bereavement services, counselling and emotional guidance for patients, well-being services, and a specialist lymphoedema clinic.
Teesside Hospice is a vital service in our area, taking on many NHS patients when their illness becomes life limiting. They ensure that a life with terminal illness is still a life very much worth living. Please help me to help them run their services this winter.
If you’d like to come along to support, the Firewalk will take place at 7pm on the Hospice grounds this Sunday!
Thank you.
