Celebrate 90 years of life-changing services by taking on a 90 themed fundraiser. The money you raise will help us remained committed to supporting people with sight loss now, and for the next 90 years.

Story

Olly was born in May 2018, a beautiful, happy little boy with a smile to break any heart. In January 2019, we received the heart- breaking news that Olly is blind! The devastating diagnosis was incredibly hard to hear and trying to imagine the challenges that Olly would face throughout his life was impossible to comprehend.

Olly is now 3-years old and has a cheeky little personality to match his smile. He attends a mainstream nursery and with the help of his one-to-one support and the nursery staff he happily takes on every challenge that life puts his way.

For us as Olly’s family every day is a lesson on how we can best help and support him, how we can adapt our everyday lives to give Olly what he needs but still let him enjoy some independence.

Charities like The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association will without doubt play a hugely important role in Olly’s future and others like him, therefore we want to help them now by raising money and awareness for this fantastic charity on its 90th birthday.

Our challenge is to walk 90km in October and we would be extremely thankful if you could sponsor us. We have set up a Just Giving page www.justgiving.com/fundraising/darren-taylor98 or if you prefer you can donate cash in person.

Thank you

Darren xx

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
