When my daughter Connie was 2, she contracted Meningitis and septicaemia falling into a coma, her life hung in the balance. Because of research funded by charities like Meningitis Now, Doncaster Royal Infirmary and the Sheffield Children's Hospital where able to save her life and limbs. This is always hard to write without tears. Today my Connie is a happy, kind and beautiful little girl, and I'm thankful every day. I've previously raised over £1500 fir the Children's hospital hiking Hadrian's wall.

Me and a friend will be walking the 80 miles of the Yorkshire wolds way without any support team, carrying all our gear, to raise funds to help Meningitis now fund research and support families effected by Meningitis.
