Story

We are organising a sports and family day in celebration of Nick Palmer's life and in the process we hope to raise some money towards Nick's Memorial Fund that supports GOSHCC.

As well as a a devoted father and friend Nick was a keen sportsman. We hope to incorporate some of Nick's favorite sports in this charity day.

On Sunday 8th June 2014, Nick was taking part in the Southend Half Marathon, when he collapsed sortly after completing the race. Sadly Nick passed away later that day.

His family and friends are shocked by his sudden passing, he leaves behind many friends, colleagues and close family.

His son George spent some of his years under the care of Great Ormond Street Hospital and the family feel it would be right that a fund for them in  Nick's memory should be created, as a reminder to the bright shining light Nick has left with us and a fitting tribute to remember him.
