We provide specialist hospice care to people living with a terminal illness

Story

On Saturday 28th January 2023, we will walk a marathon between us, participating in the London Winter Walk, raising funds for the Thames Hospice. . . . starting at the Oval Cricket Ground in London, we will take in the Thames, its historic bridges and many of the Capital's key landmarks. This will be a challenge for us!, however the personal connection we have with Thames Hospice will give us the inspiration, motivation and determination to make it to the finish line.

In the past 15 years, we have both lost one of our parents to a terminal illness. During this time, they both received the best possible end-of-life care from Thames Hospice. The difference this made, to not only our parents but to the whole family, was incredible. This would not have been possible if others had not committed themselves to raise much needed funds to support Thames Hospice, delivering a variety of services free of charge to all that need them.

In memory of our mother and father, we would like to give something back to Thames Hospice, as a way of saying ‘thank-you’ and to ensure that other families are able to get the support, care and dignity that they deserve for their loved ones, when required.

Your generous donations enable Thames Hospice to continue providing the best palliative and end-of-life care to the community. We are grateful for anything you can give, big or small, every single penny going directly to Thames Hospice. Thankyou for reading our story and thankyou for your kind donation.

Love,

Lisa & Darren Warburton
