Hello,

I am Darren Douglas I am 14  and I going to cycle 143 miles from Thurso to Inverness in aid of the STV Appeal. As I have just moved to Caithness I appreciate the scenery and I am so proud to be Scottish and healthy because  when I was 15 months old I fought Meningitis which left me with I.T.P (Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura) but as a young child I have no memory of being unwell therefore I am doing this challenge to raise money for other children fighting for a reasonable, healthy standard of life so I have a target of £500. to try and make a small impact! Child Poverty in Scotland is a major issue so please donate!  

I would not be able to consider this challenge if it wasn't for a big hearted family friend, Ian Fraser (Jacko) from Kiltarlity. who will be keeping me company/safe along my challenge!
