4 - number of years since my diagnosis - and counting.
5000 - number of metres I hope to swim

The green thing above is the mask I had to wear to ensure that my radiotherapy hit the right spot. It seems to have done the trick.
I've been thinking of doing something 'to put something back' for a while now. I was thinking of attempting to cycle from London to Bordeaux in 3 days. That might still happen one day, but at the moment that would require quite a bit of training that would take me away from the family for too long.
So, I figured if you are going to ask for money from people, you've got to earn it. 5km is a long way to swim and I'm not even sure if I can do it, but I won't know until I've tried.
As well as radiotherapy, I also had chemotherapy, and Cancer Research had a big part to play in the development of Cisplatin, one of the 'drugs' I was given. I'm not quite sure exactly how much I'm indebted to Cancer Research.
