Story
Hi! Thank you for visiting my page :-)
I am so excited to be running the Great North Run, a half marathon from Newcastle to South Shields. It is the 2nd largest half marathon in the world!
You will find me running in a Myeloma UK top to raise awareness of Myeloma and raise money for this awesome Charity. In December 2019 my dad was diagnosed with Myeloma, he’s been through some pretty tough treatments since then, including a stem cell transplant. We can proudly say that he is in remission, thanks to the hard work of Myeloma UK and the NHS.
The Charity - Myeloma UK
Myeloma, also known as multiple myeloma, is a blood cancer arising from plasma cells. At any one time there are around 24,000 people living with myeloma in the UK. It is a relapse-remitting cancer, which means it is not curable but it is treatable. The aim is to find a cure.
The money you donate can help in sooo many amazing ways. Just a few examples are: helping to fund groundbreaking research, helping to approve new treatments and providing support to the people who need it, so that no one has to face Myeloma alone.
More info about how your money helps can be found on the link: https://www.myeloma.org.uk/fundraising-and-donations/how-your-money-helps/
Myeloma UK and I appreciate any amount of support - no donation is too small. Thank you!
