Story
On the 26th April 2020, we will be running the London Marathon, raising money and awareness for Chordoma UK.
Chordoma UK was established by Sue Fitz-Gibbon, the mum of our good friend Ollie, along with her husband Gerry. She was diagnosed with Chordoma, a rare cancer of the spine, in 2007. At the time there was little information and support and they struggled to get the help they needed. Sadly after a decade long fight, Sue lost her battle with cancer on January 3rd 2018 surrounded by her family.
It was with Sue's great spirit and ambition that Chordoma has become a charity that helps fund research into this relentless disease as well as giving people the support they need; however there is a still a long way to go.
We hope that by undertaking this challenge, we are able to raise funds and awareness so that another family doesn't have to go through what the Fitz-Gibbon family did.
Every little bit of money really makes a difference, and if you know us well you will know we have never run anywhere near this far in our lives!
