Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

So, it can be done - 84 miles in 4 days in the hot sun!  The aching muscles, the sore feet, and particularly the blisters can now have time to recover.  Never have I seen such determination to work through pain - but with a supportive group anything is possible.  And the good bits?  The stunning views, it didn't rain, a wonderful group of people, comfy beds, and most of all an incredible sense of achievement.  I have also appreciated an enormous amount of encouragement and I know your generous contributions will be put to very good use by Disability North who do an excellent job supporting their service users.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

I am joining a group of 15 people to walk the length of Hadrian's Wall in just 4 days.  We walk a total of 84 miles and the longest day is 27 miles!  We are paying for the experience, and we are looking for you to support Disability North in recognition of the effort that we will put in.

The picture above is at the top of Loose Hill - we went on to do 16.6 miles that day - it was beautiful and clear with good views over Edale, the Hope Valley and beyond.
