Story
I, along with the University of Kent cycle club am taking part in the John o' Groats to Land's End cycling challenge whilst climbing the three peaks on the way in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. In June 2013 we will set off from the most northenly mainland point of Scotland and make the 1100 mile journey down to the most southernly point of the UK in Cornwall. On the way we will hike up Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon. Climbing a total of 9,800 feet.
I'll keep everyone up to date with how the trip is going with pictures and rants about how much my legs ache.
Every year over 300,000 people are diagnosed with cancer in the UK. It will affect 1 in 3 people directly and almost everyone indirectly. Macmillan offer financial support, professional health care and advice to those affected by cancer. It relys almost entirely on donations and the money donated is well spent.
So i ask, if you can spare a little please donate to this great charity and help them to help those who could use some support.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Dig deep and thanks for the support!
