Story
Put simply, my mum has been diagnosed with IPF (IDIOPATHIC PULMONARY FIBROSIS) a disease that reduces the ability to breathe - at present there is no cure.
I normally undertake marathons as a choice of fundraising in fancy dress but on this occasion I have taken on the task of cycling The London Ride 100 - a much tougher challenge than I first anticipated.
For the past three months or so whilst you enjoy your Sunday lie-ins, I have been putting the mileage in and donned the lycra....yes it does feel good.
It's a tough challenge and the heat we are experiencing has not helped at all - I hope it will be cooler come race day on Sunday 29th July, I am expecting to complete the 100 mile ride in 6-7 hours.....
I'm doing the hard part, I need you to do the important part and help me raise some funds for the worthy Charity 'The British Lung Foundation'. I know it's difficult out there but a contribution will be greatly appreciated to help those who need it......thank you!
