Story
I did it! Through the pain, aches, sweating, heat and stomach problems, I got round in a reasonable 4 hours 29 minutes. Not a record setting time by all means but it was the most difficult race I have ever endured so to finish was a huge result. Will I do it again....? probably, but I think I'll take a hard earned rest first.
Big thanks to those of you who have kindly donated to my cause :)

Please join my Hall of Fame and help me reach my £1000 target as it will help fund vital research into diagnosis, prevention and treatment of deafness and other hearing impairments such as tinnitus.
------------------------------------------
I have been hard of hearing since birth and it has fundamentally affected my way of life. I have suffered with speech impediments, ear infections, numerous grommet operations and tinnitus. It is a disability that is often ignored or neglected and I want that to change.
I will be running in the Virgin London Marathon 2011 for Deafness Research UK, a charity very close to my heart.
Deafness Research UK is a fantastic charity that is committed in securing radical improvements in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of deafness. I hope to raise £1000 for Deafness Research UK to work towards advances in scientific and medical research, to ensure that one day all forms of hearing disability will be overcome.
Any donations, however large or small, will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Danny
