I have run many marathons and ultra marathons over the past 12 years and the Marathon Des Sables in Morocco has been the top of my list of events to do.

6 days in the desert covering 250km up and down sand dunes will push me to new limits that I thought were not possible.  I welcome this challenge and in doing so want to ensure my run has a purpose beyond that of myself. For that reason I am humbled to raise funds on behalf of Pieta Ireland.

Pieta's vision is a world where suicide, self-harm and stigma have been replaced by hope, self-care and acceptance. By supporting this charity you will allow Pieta to strive to make this a reality. Without charitable support Pieta would not have been able to give hope to over 60,000 people since they first opened their doors in 2006.

In 2020 alone Pieta delivered over 52,000 hours of intervention and bereavement counselling and managed over 70,000 crisis support calls with those numbers rising over 2021-22. All of Pieta's services are provided free of charge. This is only possible because of the support of the public through donations.
