On Sunday 9 July Leo Group will enter a team of 18 runners into the Clarion Leeds 10k Corporate Challenge for the sixth year running.  I really hope its something you feel able to support us in by donating as much as you can. Last year we raised over £25,000 for various charities thanks to the generosity of our supporters.

This year I would like to focus on raising money for Ravenscliffe High School and Sports College which is Calderdale’s only secondary special school. The school caters for young people with a wide range of learning and physical disabilities. I have met the incredible students who attend the school on a number of occasions, and have been simply blown away by their enthusiasm, spirit and desire to succeed despite the difficulties they have to overcome on a daily basis. Leo Group have been supporting the School in its ambitious plans to expand to a second site at Spring Hall Halifax, this is to alleviate significant capacity issues at their current location.

Spring Hall is a development project that will assist with the capacity problem Ravenscliffe face.  The project will be a purpose built, fully accessible Post-16 learning centre and out of hours community hub situated approximately one mile from the current site at Skircoat Green. The centre will provide exciting and innovative learning opportunities for up to 70 young people aged 16-19, whilst relieving the capacity issues at the main school building and thus affording better provision for younger students.
