When Margo was born she was born with Gastroschisis, a fairly common birth defect (about 1 in 3000) where the baby is born with the intestines on the outside of the tummy. Margo, the doctors, nurses and everyone else involved was amazing and Margo made a very speedy recovery staying in NICU for only 4 weeks. During Margo’s stay in NICU we stayed over the road in Ronald McDonald house, free accommodation for families with children in hospital. This was a huge help saving us the 80mile round trip to visit Margo each day or the expense of hotels. The accommodation was actually better than many hotels I’ve stayed in! 

On the 29th July my brother and I will be riding the London Prudential Ride100 to raise money for this charity to help provide more of these homes for other families with children in hospital.
