Story

This Easter, we are taking on the Slideathon challenge for the wonderful Larsen's Pride. Larsen invented the 'Slideathon' in 2019 to raise money for other children who had to spend lots of time in hospital. It needed to be impressive, it needed to raise lots of money AND it needed to be fun The Slideathon challenge was born!Larsen used all of his superpowers to go down 26 slides in one day! He travelled to water slides, farm park slides and lots of different play parks near his home.Since that amazing day, lots of other children (like us) have joined in with the Slideathon and they have all made a big difference to the lives of children who have to spend time in hospital with a brain tumour.Last year we did the Slideathon with our friends at school in Wales, and this year, we are taking on the Slideathon in South Africa where we are visiting our Granny, because we want to make a big difference for children with brain tumours. We have been checking out the biggest and fastest slides ready for the challenge. We might even do a zip wire (if we are old enough). Thank you for sponsoring us!

Larsen's Pride was set up in memory of Larsen, who died aged 5 years old, from a rare and aggressive brain tumour. Our mission is to improve the lives of the youngest brain tumour patients (0-12) during their treatment. We do this through the delivery of soft toys and clinical resources.
