We have recently lost a close family member who was suffering from Alzheimer's and Dementia. He was the kindest, friendliest, most considerate man who's heart was always in the right place. He wasn't just family to us, he was our friend and we will miss him more than words could ever describe. 

This particular disease, while of course tough for the person suffering from it, is also tough for those around them. It is hard to watch someone you love and respect slowly forget who you are and eventually who they are. It is also hard to know there isn't much you can do to help them, except be there for them until the end. This is why we have decided to join this walk to help raise money towards further research in the hope that one day there will be a cure. As well as help towards assisting people who are currently suffering with Alzheimer's and Dementia.
