Story
In April 2017, my dad and brother were walking back from the local shop. Suddenly, my dad fell to the floor. Passers by performed CPR and kept his heart going until the Ambulance took him to the nearest hospital. Upon arrival, it was clear that he was going to need specialized surgery. The East Anglian Air Ambulance transported him to Norfolk and Norwich for specialized sugary and he has made a full recovery where he can enjoy the rest of his life with his family and children.
That day, my brother and I almost lost our dad. The first man I ever loved, my rock, my hero. He had not had the chance to see the life I had made away from the family home, walk me down the aisle or meet his grandchildren. Thanks to the Air Ambulance, he has a second chance at life and an opportunity to still be my dad. My rock. My hero.
It cost the Air Ambulance £3,500 to transport my dad to receive his life saving surgery. I aim to raise that much to pay them back. You can't put a price on my dad's life, but I can pay them back for the extraordinary work they did to keep my dad alive.
