Story
Right guys,
I've somehow ended up taking on the massive challenge of running the London Marathon! So on April 25th I'll be staggering around the City in the hope to make the 26 miles and ultimately raise lots of money towards Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
I never thought I'd manage to get a place, let alone tackle a marathon but here I am running most weekends, week nights and having nightmares about running...
As you may know I work for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and this time its my turn to start raising the cash. The charity research's into all blood cancers and I know how far your money will go. I've met so many people who's lives have been saved thanks to the vital research that we do and I need your help to keep on funding this research. To see exactly where your money will be going please check out this video - http://animoto.com/play/7iPKgEECtzPWc6wUPA7zBw?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=share&utm_campaign=one_click_share
It doesn't come easy, I will be running 26 miles and so if you sponsor me a few pennies/pounds/thousands for tackling this epic run then not only will I be mega chuffed but you will helping to save the thousands of people who are diagnosed with a blood cancer each year.
For more info about the charity have a look at the website www.lrf.org.uk. plus if you fancy taking on your own challenge then I also organise a lovely Bikeathon www.londonbikeathon.co.uk !
So whatever you can spare, please cough up! I will updating the site to let you know how the trainings going and how much pain I'm going through!
Thank you for reading this essay, now get sponsoring (please)!
With love x
Quick update....
With only just over 2 weeks to go the training is going well (as can be). With no alcohol, not much going out and painful 17/18 mile runs on the weekend, I'm hoping I should be able to make it round in one piece. The muscles are constantly achey and forever feeling pains but I hear thats all part of the fun! Will be extremely thankful when its all over (just have to make it round.. with no injuries) and will never ever do it again! Thank you so much for donating, not long now and fingers crossed for sunshine or cloudy weather and a glass of champagne waiting at the finish line!!!
