Story
This year, I have decided to enter two events which will see me physically push myself to my limit: the Brighton Half Marathon and HYROX London. Both require ample preparation and training, and for anyone that knows me, running in the dark, wet winter months is not my thing so that itself if a mean feat! Whatever you can afford to sponsor will be greatly appreciated - every little helps!
A little bit about both events:
Brighton Half Marathon - Feb 25th - 13.1 miles.
I have been following a 12 week training plan for this, which will hopefully see me complete the race in my target of sub 2 hours.
HYROX London - 6th May - Women's Doubles
HYROX combines both running and functional workout stations, where I will run 1km followed by 1 functional workout station, repeated 8 times.
1000m ski erg
50m sled push (102kg)
50m sled pull (78kg)
80m burpee broad jumps
1000m row
200m farmers carry (2x 16kg)
100m sandbag lunges (10kg)
75x wall balls (4kg)
(Each station is followed by a 1km run)
I am raising money for Macmillan as facing cancer is one of the toughest fights people will ever face. 98% of their income comes from fundraising, so this is my way of doing my little bit.
