Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am training and running in memory of my wonderful husband Mark Abbott. Mark was tragically taken from us on Monday 3rd Jan this year, aged 31. He was out running - one of the many sports that he enjoyed.
Mark's love of sport has inspired myself and many others to take part in this year's Manchester 10k run for the first time. One of the aims is to raise awareness of road safety for both runners and drivers so talk about this with friends, family and colleagues. Another aim is to raise money for Guide dogs for the blind, a favourite of Mark's charities so please donate if you can.
Lastly and most importantly, Mark had so much to live for. It is important that his dreams for the future are lived out by others and for this reason, I ask for your support.
People who know me, realise that I am not sporty in the slightest so this will be a challenge to say the least! Mark would be highly amused to see me jogging, but I know he will be encouraging me and smiling with me every step of the way.
I'm sure Mark's amazing energy and determination will see us all through the finishing line!
