Story
Living in Sierra Leone...
...if you catch polio and are unfortunate to be a woman, you are forced into prostitution;
...as a boy you were robbed of your childhood as a child-soldier in the ten-year civil war;
...you are ill and there is only one doctor in one hospital for 250.000 people;
WHAT THEN?
As a volunteer with Mission Direct I have the fantastic opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those I work and live with in Sierra Leone.
For the next seven month I am living in Sierra Leone coordinating teams of volunteers building orphanages, hospitals and community centres.
