Story
September 16th 2020 marks 10 years since my mum passed away after a battle with bowel cancer.
Throughout her illness Mum was cared for at The Christie, having chemotherapy and subsequent operation. The nursing care she received was second to none and in more recent times my Dad has been in receipt of the same fantastic care.
To show appreciation for this and to mark Mum’s 10 year anniversary I have decided to set myself a challenge in order to raise more money in her honour for this wonderful Cancer Care centre.
On Thursday 17th September, I will start the run at the Titantic hotel in Liverpool at 10.30am and follow the Leeds-Liverpool canal to Wigan, finishing between Top Lock and Aspull . This route will total 60km, a distance chosen to mirror the age at which mum passed away.
Please donate any amount you can to this charity in memory of my amazing mum.
