I am running the Thorpe Half Marathon in memory of my mother in law Elaine Radford. I’m am not only doing It to raise money for the Princess Alice Hospice but to also raise awareness, because I am sure that like me until you need to use a Charity like this you are unaware of the amazing things they do for people when they are going through the most difficult time of their lives.

The Princess Alice Hospice not only provide end of life care, they give people a little ray of sunshine during the darkest of days. They are always there to give advice or just listen, to answer the questions you don’t really want to ask let alone hear the answer to but they do it in a fitting and friendly way.

They offer great services for those who need it most and it doesn’t stop after the passing of the patient. They leave their doors open for the family to still contact them in the following weeks, months and years if they ever need any support. This is a service that i have personally used. It wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of its supporters, so running this half marathon is just a small way that I can do something to give a little back and to hopefully allow another family to get the help and support from this amazing charity.
