Story

My son Jamie was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder called Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency at 10 months old. He is transfusion dependent which enables him to live a 'normal' life. As it is a rare condition, my brother, step dad and I are doing this 55 mile bike ride to raise money and to help raise awareness for this condition.

We have written a short children's book called Jamie's Journey which explains about the condition. It is available on amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Jamies-Journey-Tracey-Rushbrook/dp/1739684672/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=jamie%27s+journey&qid=1677170750&sr=8-1

About the charity

Whether facing cancer, stroke, heart disease or have a sick child or baby, we want to provide the very best care. A variety of ground breaking equipment and treatments are now in place because of donations kindly made by the public, much more than our NHS budget can provide. Thank you
