At just 2 years old Great Ormond Street were the hospital to diagnose me with Arthritis after visiting several other hospitals who weren't able to diagnose my condition. Since then I attended Great Ormond Street very regularly all through my childhood until I turned 18, and I'll never be able to thank the staff enough for their endless care and support. Although I was battling the condition at a young age and had to give up the thing I loved most, football, I have still been able to live a fairly normal life and I'm certain things would be different if it wasn't thanks to GOSH.
For the last few years my shoulder had been playing up and I was advised by surgeons to go have it replaced, so I had that procedure last year and I am still recovering from that today. Although this may make this challenge a lot more difficult, I'm still determined to show Great Ormond Street how thankful I am for all that they do for every child that comes through their doors.
I would really appreciate any donations small or large to help such a fantastic charity. I have been given a goal of £250 from GOSH, but I'd love to smash that through the roof!
By donating, you'll help to fund ground breaking research, advanced equipment, support services and the rebuilding and refurbishment of wards and medical facilities. Every pound really does count and could help over 600 seriously ill children who come to Great Ormond Street Hospital every day.
