Story
Thank you for having a look at my just giving page.
I'm Dan, a serving soldier in the HM Forces. A part of my job that spans over the period of almost 20 years service has seen me being deployed worldwide. I have contributed in the aid of signposting a variety of personnel in traumatic environments and help them move on with their day-to-day lives. Last year, i completed a Diploma in Counselling to help better understand the difficulties that everyone goes through in their lives and i aim to make a positive impact where i can. Inside and outside of a military environment.
What i can't do, is put myself into the brave peoples' soles and understand the difficulties with hearing they have cancer in any shape or form. I have known people to have cancer in the past, and thanks to the charity's and services available to us, they have been given the help they needed and 'thankfully' they are still with us today.
In high hopes to raise awareness for this, i will be completing the 1st Half of the ''COTSWOLD WAY CHALLENGE 2022'' on the 25 June 2022.
On completion of this, my aim is to complete the full 100 km in the future and raise even more money for Coppafeel!
A very dear friend of mine, Dr. Shivani Verma of Herts Uni, will be completing a Sahara Trek later in the year through this cause and has highlighted how important this charity is which makes it even more meaningful to me. If anyone has any questions before making any donations, please contact me and i will be more than happy to help.
Once again, thank you.
Take care.

CoppaFeel! are the first UK breast cancer charity to create awareness amongst young people, with the aim to install a new healthy habit that could one day save a life. They are on a mission to stamp out late detection of breast cancer and ensure the nation is checking their boobs regularly. They want to educate people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, encourage them to get to know what is normal for them and empower young people to have the confidence to see a doctor if they notice anything that isn't right for them.
