Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page set up in memory of Nick Lewis.
My brother in law Nick was fit, healthy and happy before he was diagnosed with a brain tumour at 31 years of age. Nick had everything to live for, he was strong and underwent major brain surgery twice, radiotherapy and two courses of chemotherapy. But unfortunately he lost his battle with the disease after nearly 8 years and died on 18th January 2015.
Sixteen thousand people in the UK are diagnosed with brain tumours each year. Unlike like all other cancers, deaths from brain tumours are rising. There is currently no cure and most people die within 5 years of diagnosis. More children and adults under 40 die of a brain tumour than from any other cancer, but just 1% of the national spend on cancer research is spent on brain tumours. Please support this charity by sponsoring me so that one day a cure will be found for this disease.
