Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Before we start people I’m no martyr and as many of you know I don’t really shave that often anyway, however I thought since it is Movember I should raise a bit of money for a very good cause.  For those who do not know Movember is the month formally known as November were men do not shave their upper lip for the duration of the month to raise awareness for men’s health.

Here are my rules:

1. I must not shave my upper lip

2. There will be no joining of sideburns (i.e. beard)

3. There will be no joining of the handle bars to the chin (i.e. goatee)

4. I will post daily pictures on Twitter for those to follow my progress @DanielKavanagh8

Keeping with the theme of Movember I have chosen Everyman as my charity.   Everyman is an appeal to raise money for research into prostate and testicular cancer.  Please give kindly and thank you.

Everyman is an appeal run by The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR). Every year some 10,000 men lose their lives to prostate cancer and over 2,000 others have their world turned upside down by a diagnosis of testicular cancer. These men are the reason we are fundraising for male specific cancers.
