Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I Daniel Hurst and six of my friends will be doing a sponsored Tandem skydive from 15,000ft to raise money for the Ernest and Helen Scott Haematological Research Institute based at the University of Leicester. This is Leicesters very own Cancer research Institute and with all the money we raise it will go towards saving more lifes. Back in August 2011 i was diagnosed with advance stage 4b hodgkins lymphoma which is a type of blood cancer at the age of 26. If that wasnt enough 5 months later, i was then diagnosed with another more agressive type of non-hodgkins lymphoma. After a long hard 12 month battle and a stem cell bone marrow transplant I was put in remission and have remained so since. From the help of the doctors and nurses at the Leicester Royal Infirmary and the University of Leicester.

I am doing this skydive as a thank you to all the people that helped me through this horrible time and saved my life and giving me the opportunity to live my life with the people that mean the most to me.

The Skydive will take place on Saturday 8th August 2015 at the Hibaldstow Airfield in Lincolnshire.

I would like to take this time to say thank you to all that read this and donate to this great cause.
