Story
Climbing to new heights for emotional wellbeing.
My sister-in-law, Emma, and I shall be completing both the National Three Peaks Challenge and the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenges, including all travel, within a time of 48 hours - The Ultimate Six Peaks Challenge for the Just Talk Campaign.

The Ultimate Six Peaks challenge will take us to Scotland, Wales, the Lake District as well as Yorkshire. The challenge will entail around 47 miles of mountain walking, 15,000ft of ascent and very little sleep.
The two major components of the Ultimate Six Peaks Challenge are:
The National Three Peaks Challenge:
- Climbing the highest mountains of Scotland (Ben Nevis, 1345m), England (Scafell Pike, 978m) and Wales (Snowdon, 1085m) - a 23-mile walk, within 24 hours.
(We shall then be driven to Yorkshire after completing the National Three Peaks Challenge...)
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge:
- The challenge consists of walking the 24-mile circular route and climbing the summit of Pen-Y-Ghent (694m; 2,227 ft), Whernside (736 m; 2415 ft) and Ingleborough (723m; 2,372ft) in less than 12 hours.
Friday 9th August 6:00am - Start National Three Peaks Challenge
Saturday 10th August 6:00am - Finish National Three Peaks Challenge
Saturday 10th August 10:00am - Start Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge
Saturday 10th August 10:00pm - Finish Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge
You could say we are mad for attempting this challenge, but I'd say we are madly passionate about the charity that we are supporting. We understand that this will be a difficult challenge - both physically and mentally. The Just Talk Campaign fully understands what an affect emotional wellbeing issues are for people. They provide a much-needed service for so many people both in the local community and also wider afield. Everyone's enthusiasm who is involved in the Just Talk Campaign is both heart-warming and contagious! The Campaign was started in 2016 and has achieved amazing things in the short time it has been running, but it has so much more potential that it can fulfill with your kind support and generosity.
Their core philosophy of Ubuntu - collective community working together, is visible in every aspect of their work - Saving and Changing Lives. One element of Just Talk Campaign's work is that they offer free drop-in sessions. Which gives people the opportunity to come and talk about anything that is concerning them in a safe and confidential environment. They also have individual counselling sessions available with Trainee Counsellors. To find out more about the amazing work that the Just Talk Campaign is involved in, please feel free to check out their website at: http://justtalkcampaign.co.uk/
We are also looking for corporate sponsors, please contact us if you'd like more info on this.
