Story
OK, folks. London Marathon 2011 for Red R.
Firstly, about the charity. Red R is a superb development organisation that makes emergency response to humanitarian crises far more effective. They get technical expertise where it matters when it is most important. When you see images of war, disease and environmental distaster, chances are Red R is making your money work harder and go further. They are great. Support them and read more at http://www.redr.org.uk/en/About_us/
Second, what I'm doing. 26.2 miles - 42 kilometres - but hard graft every week, day in day out. And I've got a target. Last year I beat the time I set 28 years ago. This year it's 3:15. Yes, three hours and fifteen minutes. Fast, I know. But it is within reach.
So, if you will, I will. If you pledge a minimum of ten pounds I'll pound the streets and do everything to reach the time - and then it's automatic qualification for the next one.
A tough ask, but I'm askling for your support to do it. The more you support me, the harder I'll work.
Thanks very much. I'll keep you updated.
Here's to Red R and the London Marathon 2011.
