Daniel's Walking the Serpent Trail (64 miles) in memory of Jim Hansen

Fundraising for Martlets Hospice
The last day I got to spend with my Dad was Father's Day 2018 and I have missed him desperately ever since. To mark the anniversary of his passing and to honour his memory I am going to walk The Serpent Trail, a 64 mile long foot path that snakes it's way through Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex. My Dad may have grown up in the striking landscapes of Africa but he fell in love with the countryside of the South of England. I will complete the walk over a few consecutive days (including Father's Day) this June.
My Dad died of cancer and the Martlet's Hospice provided the most incredible support to my family, before, during and after my Dad's death. They also provide the most incredible support to my Motor Neurone Disease patients (I'm a neurology research nurse if you didn't know).
The Hospice is an incredible place, doing the most amazing work and though nothing could have made these last years any less painful, the Martlet's really did make it easier.
