We support people with Spinal Cord Injury to help them live full, independent lives

Story

Up until, well last weekend actually, the highest peak I had conquered was on a bar of Toblerone.

On the weekend of 5th-6th June this year I will be tackling the 3 peaks of Ben Nevis, Scafell and Snowdon along with  six others I gently persuaded to come with me (ok maybe a little chinese burn was applied).

The task involves completing the ascent of all three peaks (the highest in Scotland, England and Wales) and the drive between them in just 24 hours.

Being in the peak of physical condition this obviously does not present a problem for me but my fellow mountaineers require your support to help push them over the finish line.

I appreciate we are all asked to donate to charity on a daily basis but I would be amazingly grateful if you could put a contribution into a something that is guaranteed to improve the quality of someone's life.

Aspire is dedicated to assisting those with spinal cord injuries or conditions that restrict there ability to perform everyday tasks that we all take for granted. You can get a further flavour of their work by visting the following link http://www.aspire.org.uk/default.aspx.

A key objective of the charity is to provide a platform for people to lead an every day life. One example is the supply of wheelchair equipment to a child that may have to wait up to 9 years for the some product from the NHS.

Stuart Robb, who is completing the climb with me, has a close link to the charity due to his father's illness which has confined him to a wheelchair.

Thanks for taking the time to read this message and please give whatever you can afford.

All the best

Dan
