Back to Back Marathons ! 

I’ve updated this page because Bowel Research UK have offered me a charity place to run in this years London Marathon. This opportunity has arisen due to the massive support I’ve received so far from generous friends, family and local businesses and I can only thank you all so much for donating in these current difficult times. This is a challenge I could not turn down so it’s now 2 Marathons in 3 weeks this Autumn and an increase in the target to £5000 for the charity Bowel Research UK.

For 2021 I will be running the Brighton Marathon on the 12th of September and then the London Marathon on the 3rd of October to raise much needed funds and awareness for Bowel Research UK. This is a charity close to us as Lisa (my Wife) was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer in March of 2020. She has so far been really brave, after a very serious operation to have a tumour removed followed by Chemotherapy with added complications and treatment  which is still ongoing . Having the opportunity to raise awareness and funds which will be invested in life saving research of Bowel Cancers and other Bowel diseases is a way of me trying to do my bit to help others aswell. After taking running more seriously from 2019 onwards I feel I can make a difference by challenging myself to run my first  marathon and then take that challenge on again 3 weeks after. This will hopefully raise funds for a very important cause. Anything at all would be very much appreciated as it’s not easy times in the world financially at the moment with how things are. . I will keep training and promoting the charity page and push for my target. 

IF I HIT THE TARGET OF £1000 I WILL RUN THE BRIGHTON MARATHON IN A FULL IPSWICH TOWN KIT! 

For those of you that know me well that’s enough of challenge for me to add to a marathon aswell  💚💛
